New golf entertainment venue set to open in Bettendorf during spring

Construction is nearly complete on the Iron Tee Golf is a new 65,000-square-foot entertainment venue near the TBK Bank Sports Complex in Bettendorf.

“It is steaming right along. These guys are on target. They are working their tails off and they’re doing a great job building this Iron Tee facility,” said Iron Tee Golf’s General Manager Kevin Belk.

The golf complex will offer a driving range with ball-tracking technology, giving golfers the opportunity to perfect their swing and see how far they hit the ball. The golf venue will also have 58 golf bays which can hold six golfers per bay, allowing for hundreds of golfers at any given time. If you step away from the range, Iron Tee Golf will also have arcade games, mini golf, multiple bars and TVs, and a restaurant.

“It’s really going to be an experience on the entertainment side, but truly it’s where hospitality and entertainment meet . And so we’re excited to offer this to the Quad Cities,” Belk said.

While Belk showed off the venue, he said Iron Tee Golf will be available year-round. No matter what the weather is doing, you can get your swings in. Belk says that is one of the main attractions.

“You’re going to be able to come here and get those swings in and have some fun anytime of the year,” Belk said. “Those golf bays are going to be heated with three radiant heaters per golf bay. We are absolutely tickled to be able to offer this solution to entertainment in the Quad Cities. It’s going to be the pinnacle, we feel, of entertainment in the Quad Cities.”

Iron Tee will be a partner with First Tee golf as well. First Tee works with kids to help them learn about golf. Belk said they hope to have a grand opening in May.
