Only three months after the death of the band’s lead singer Alex Chilton, Big Star bass guitarist Andy Hummel has died at the age of 59 after a battle with cancer. Hummel played bass on Big Star’s #1 Record and Radio City before departing the band. [Music Mix/EW]
